Agradecémos a todos los que fueron y disfrutaron de nuestro concierto de ayer en el festival de comunidades extranjeras, en especial a la comunidad británica por la invitación y todas las atenciones brindadas, excelentes personas Un par de detalles: Nuestro set se vio afectado por una "banda" que se excedió en el tiempo (tuvimos que quitar 8 canciones y modificar todo lo planeado) dicen ser musicos pero no respetan a otros musicos (el vocalista alentando al público con groserias siendo un evento totalmente familiar). Justo cuando estabamos tocando alguien nos robó un ampli de bajo. Apesar de todo, no nos rendimos, bien dicen que cuando alguien va teniendo éxito los obstáculos son mayores y no faltarán las personas que aunque las cosas las hagas bien no te apoyen. Ustedes nos conocen y saben que siempre decimos las cosas como son.

Last week, Queen announced a summer tour with Adam Lambert but that’s not all the band has going on. Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor have been working on a biopic about singer Freddie Mercury and Brian gave us an update on how it’s coming along. BRIAN MAY: “The movie is about to go. Yeah, we will be shooting in May. At this point, Roger and I kinda step backwards because we have a great team to put the film together under the leadership of Graham King, who is, you know, probably the greatest independent producer in films. We will sort of let them do it and shoot it and hopefully it will be an interesting thing.” The movie has been in the works for years now and Brian spoke to us about what he’s learned about the moviemaking process. “I’ve learned a lot about films in this process. What you discover is films don’t really tell history, films are an entertainment and so that’s an interesting journey to make. You realise that it cannot be absolutely true. What is the truth? The truth would be different for the people telling the story, but it will be a hell of an entertaining film I think.” Roger added his two cents about filmmaking. ROGER TAYLOR: “It seems like the wheels grind slowly in the movie word. I’m glad I’m a musician.” No word yet on when the film will hit theatres but the tour with Lambert kicks off in June. He replaces Sacha Baron Cohen, who was originally attached to play Freddie but left the project last summer. TALKING POINT: Did you know so much effort goes into filmmaking?

NUEVAS NOTICIAS sobre la película de Freddie ¿Que Opinan? La semana pasada, Queen anunció un tour de verano con Adam Lambert pero eso no es todo en lo que la banda anda. El guitarrista Brian May y el baterista Roger Taylor han estado trabajando en la película biográfica del cantante Freddie Mercury y Brian nos dio un adelanto de cómo les está yendo. BRIAN MAY: “La película está por empezar. Sí, estaremos grabando en mayo. En este punto, Roger y yo retrocedemos porque hemos un gran equipo para armar el filme bajo el liderazgo de Graham King, quien es, ya saben, probablemente el más grande productor independiente de películas. Nosotros dejaremos que él lo grabe y con suerte será algo interesante.” La película ha estado en proceso por años y Brian nos habló sobre lo que ha aprendido del proceso de hacer películas. “He aprendido mucho sobre las películas y en este proceso. Lo que descubres es que los filmes no cuentan una historia realmente, los filmes son un entretenimiento y ese es un viaje interesante. Te das cuenta que no puede ser absolutamente cierto. ¿Cuál es la verdad? La verdad sería diferente para las personas que cuentan la historia, pero creo que será un film muy entretenido.” Roger agregó su opinión sobre el proceso de hacer una película. ROGER TAYLOR: “Parece que las ruedas para pulir van despacio en el mundo de las películas. Algunos critican hoy a Diego por haber vestido la remera de Brian May Official, con la bandera inglesa. Pero este show fue justo un año antes del inicio de la Guerra de Malvinas. “Yo le quiero agradecer a Freddie Mercury y a los Queen por hacernos tan felices. Y ahora, “Otro muerde el polvo!”
